A species native to the underground realm of Itlan-Youali. In contrast to the various naturally evolved biological species of Cahyali, alebrijes are a spiritual species born out of the Kurago that have somehow made it to Itlan-Youali.

Alebrijes come in various shapes and sizes and can take on the appearance of almost any animal or creature or some mix of them. Furthermore, they are incredibly colorful creatures, taking on unnatural and vibrant patterns and hues.

Alebrijes are spiritual beings born out of the emotions of Kurago spirits, though they are not entirely spiritual as they do still have the ability to eat, drink, sleep, and most annoyingly go to the restroom.

Generally speaking, the actual biology of the alebrije matches the animal which they model, though most notably their fecal matter contains hallucinogens. Additionally, alebrijes are immune to bacterial and viral infections though are quite susceptible to magical diseases.
