 The large landmasses of the elemental plane of fire are separated by oceans and rivers of magma. Islands and archipelagos do exist, through they tend to drift throughout atop the lava- rarely ever staying in the same place for long. It is fairly common to find creatures living in these seas, which makes them even more dangerous to traverse. The immense heat of the plane keep many from off-plane confined to the cities and from exploring the expansive wilderness of the Fire Plane.

+The Alnair, or more commonly known as Starbirds by offworlders, are one of the more drab-looking creatures that populate the Fire Plane. They are around the size of a large crane, their most notable trait being a glowing, star-shaped gem within their chest. This gem changes color depending on what region the bird live in, possible colors being reds, oranges, to whites and on the range changes blues. A shimmering red color is the most common color, as these birds tend to live within the colder regions of the elemental plane. Gems of Alnair that have been able to survive in the warmer parts of the elemental plane tend to be white or blue.

They will repeatedly shed their gem in order to keep the eggs warm whenever they fly off to hunt. Once separated from their body, these gems will slowly disperse heat until they lose all ambient magic stored within them- upon which the Alnair then toss them out of the nest. Whenever the Ankaa have a clutch of eggs, they become very territorial and will throw themselves at larger creatures that they see as a threat to their family.

+The Ankaa are decendants of the Strygarii who escaped into the Elemental Plane of Fire after the Stormwing Calamity. The Ankaa look similar to pheasants, with their feathers shining in an array of differing colors from the fires that course through them. While the Ankaa resemble phoenix's in their ability to alight on fire, the Ankaa do not possess their ability of rebirth. When they die, their slowly body turns to dust- leaving nothing but a few silver pearls hidden within the ash.
+These pearls are known as Ankaa Tears, and when crushed into a powder are said to be able to heal any wound. The validity of the myth is unknown though, as Ankaa are rarely found alone and killing one proves even more difficult. This is because whenever an Ankaa becomes too injured, their body begins to deteriorate into flames- only reforming once their health is sufficiently restored.

+These birds resemble golden crows, about the size of a large dog. The edges of their wings are perpetually alight, and their other feathers take on the appearance of molten gold. The melted gold changes appearance when hot enough, staying a molten red-black whenever cold and turning into a glowing gold-white when hot enough. When they are this white-yellow color, Gienaurum look as if they are mini-suns flying through the sky. The flesh on their face looks as if it had melted away, revealing a skull that acts as if the skin is still attached. Small pinpricks of golden flame hover within their eye sockets, acting as eyes.
+If one is somehow able to get their hand on a feather of a Gienaurum, it is said to retain its heat for centuries. Many smiths dream of ever getting their hands on such a feather, though few are lucky enough to be entrusted with one. If one is able to befriend a Gienaurum, it is possible to be given a feather. Some have tried killing a Gienaurum in order to obtain a feather quicker, though the feathers lose their heat whenever their Gienaurum has perished.

+====Phorus====
+The Phorus are a strange species of birds. They have a similar body shape to a Terror bird, except they have the ability to glide. Despite being near-flightless, these birds still nest and gather on cliffs. They are able to scale steep cliffsides by using their hooked talons and beaks to climb to their nesting spots. Because of their weight compared to their other avian brethren, they will usually win face to face combats. Their main weakness being that they cannot follow a fight up into the air should their adversary choose to retreat.

+The Phorus's talons are said to be powerful additions to weapons, and some claim that they even have anti-demonic properties. These talons grow infinitely, similar to their beaks and are worn down but their use in constantly climbing the stone cliffs. There are a few who attempt to collect shards of broken talons, as even pieces of the talons are said to contain this power.
