No one knows who they were or where they came from. The two men who were caught sneaking into the north-east edge of town still have no names... and perhaps never will. Late lastnight their lives came to a sudden end during questioning. On Dran of last week a night patrol of the Solarium Guard came across two men crossing the zone into our City. They immobilized the men and took them into custody at the Solarium. The men carried no forms of identification and spoke with an accent. They were questioned and then imprisoned when they would not answer. They were questioned each day hoping for some clue as to their identity or purpose.
Late lastnight they were again brought out for questioning. After a several hours of silent resistance the two men unexpectedly started gagging and soon expired. A cursory examination revealed the presense of a poison capsule hidden in the roofs of their mouths. A priest of Anubis later verified the cause of death as poisoning. This mystery will probably not be solved, but should serve as a lesson that we must remain vigilent so that we will never be beaten!
"It all happened so fast", says one of the survivors, an accolyte who wished to remain nameless. "We had just finished the Serenity Swim and blood just started flying! I turned and two pale women were staking brother Hubert to a wall with spikes while a man ripped out his guts. I was sick and ran for the water."
Similar stories can be heard from all of the survivors. About half of the priests of this temple were killed. The survivors speak fondly of all of their lost fellows. They also speak in terror of they way in which they were killed, of demons who drank blood and bathed in gore... who took delight in destroying these mens life and the quiet peace that was their way of life.
Guards from the Enclave and Solarium were quick to arrive upon the aftermath. The hirduo left with no sign of where they had gone, they just faded out. The wounded were taken for healing, the families of the dead notified.
