Plot Synopsis

The party approaches the tomb at the center of the city where the light is coming from. Once they get inside, they notice some strange anomalies in the tomb. On the first floor, there’s a small storeroom for holding supplies. Inside the boxes, there is rotten grain. On the other side of the first floor was a record-keeping room, which kept track of all the supplies going in and out of the tomb. All the books in this room were preserved almost perfectly. The final thing of note was a set of stairs heading down, with a double door at the bottom. The carvings in the two doors were fluid and moving in their illustrations. The left showed inconceivable conundrums such as eggs hatching out of chickens, oroboruses eating themselves whole, and so on. The second door showed scary premonitions of a murder, a screaming face surrounded by knives. Then, the doors settled and displayed arrows on their surfaces, the left door pointing left, and the right door pointing right. When attempting to touch the doors, the hand of the opener was sharply repelled by a force field.

The party left the tomb and saw that the light from the tomb now split into two directions. The left beam pointed to a partially destroyed museum, the other pointed to a ritzy mansion. After following the left beam, the party arrived in the museum and encountered a push-slide puzzle commemorating the progress of time. After finishing the puzzle, the party was presented with a paradox created by the A’tenite calamity. The party set it free from the bluefield it was trapped in. Fortunately, the Pharaoh was able to destroy it before it could spread further.

After finishing that, the party went to the mansion and went on a murder mystery. Essentially, they were at the scene of the murder which had occurred right before the city was frozen in time, as when they walked in, they saw a man in a bluefield about to fall flat on his face with 10 stab wounds in his back. The entire rest of the house was bluefielded as well. However, the scene the party is in keeps jumping further back in time, so they have to determine who killed the victim by going further back into his day. Turns out, the victim was not blue-fielded properly, and chrono-split. This caused him to go psychotic and murder the other him who was still in the blue field. The knife he used was somehow able to pierce the field. After determining what happened, the paradox was resolved, as the light which led the party to this place burnt the murderer away.

After those two paradoxes were resolved, the party returned to the tomb, to find the left and right doors both had a large face eerie grinning on their surfaces. The Pharaoh waved his hands, and the doors flew open.
