Plot Synopsis

While sleeping in the communal tent, Holly wakes to find someone examining the party. They start to get in a scuffle, and both Holly and Malrick are hauled outside. The man is the right hand man to the leader, Hande Osmen, and he wanted to make sure this was the same party he nearly defeated. He’s confused as to why Semir would work with such a weak party, but ends up volunteering to go with the party the next day when they receive their assignment. The Party is sent to find Kaplambaga’s tribe to get advice on how to be better nomads, and potentially get them to join. The tribe ignores the Party until Kaplambaga speaks, as their mother is one of the main elders. Kaplambaga explains the man they brought (Hande) is evil, but they are in a sticky situation and the tribe just needs to comply instead of killing him like they usually would. Kaplambaga’s mother berates the man and “Baggie”, but eventually says that she understands the situation and is proud of her Broken Match and her two new children (as she adopted Holly and Fleuria). She gives Hande the information, but in return he is branded as an enemy of the Shellbearers.
