[Main CoTSS] Library Amongst The Stars II (Andromeda, Dahabu)
Plot Synopsis
Another day passes without a clue of who they once were. By special request of Aruna, Naime tags along with the party, her latent talent for Dimension Magics hampered by an airheaded personality. As if she doesn't care for the world not reflected through her mirror. The expedition crew prepares to delve into the library proper, past the mysterious gate hiding its secrets. Once inside, they find their entrance cut-off, trapped within endless shelves and corridors. Only through Ricky’s initiative is the party able to discover a mysterious trail of blood leading to an opened book on a table. A seemingly mundane book containing various ancient myths of Dahabu, propped open to the tale of the Sun Slayer.
The party continues on with their lives as residents of the mighty Dahabuan Empire. Though they spent their childhood in a remote rural village nestled within the rainforests, far from the extravagant capital, their misadventures forged bonds stronger than any. Together they grew, together they fought against Dahabu’s enemies, together they traveled the world. Until suddenly one day, they returned to find the sky boiled red. One by one, culled down by the flames and smoke, until only one remained. Idris, who dared to defy fate, drew their bow. Nocked an arrow drawn from their own shadow, and let loose at the Sun itself.
Only then was the party pulled back into reality, trapped within a faux theater hosting an amateur play. The stage was set in cardboard, painted without a concern for aesthetics, all to accompany the single lone actor. Clad in bleeding crystals, armed with a gargantuan lance, attempting to slay the source of the light. Even as their lance pierced through the heart of the Azure Bird, they remained unable to break free of their fate. A final eulogy from a former companion marked as Brim Praddlefoot sunk through the mire, lost to sight and light. With a fallen feather, the party was able to mark off their progress, and wearily return to camp.
