The Rougtero Incident Session 9
Plot Synopsis
The party interrogated the man (Rickhart) who was sapping energy from the milphite crystals while using Detect Lies. He said he wasn’t breaking the law and that he wasn’t stealing which registered as true and that he was told to do it. After a mind reading spell, Spice determined that he was told to do it by the Neptunian high priest. The party then found a dwarf in the Neptunian temple who knew the wiring in the building. After following the wiring through the city, the party discovered that it led directly back to the southwestern wall where the traces of Neptunian magic in the ritual were discovered. After this, they disguised themselves and entered the temple and brought the high priest with them out of the city and cured him of the disease he had. After this, he told the party the identity of all those he knew who were working with the Hirudo:
Scavien Lumiterge (Archmage of the Mages’ Guild)
Walter Christoph (Head of the Shipping Guild)
Brandt Hugelsdorf (High Priest of the Temple of Zepherin) Brandt (along with many people under him) is under mind control
