Plot Synopsis
The Adventures, now in the hall of finality, walk above the river of Daimon's (soul spirits) that flow through the gates to Anubis. Their forms full, being contained in the vessels, but the forms of the Daimon are merely ethereal blobs. Anubis judgment has the need for total transparency for these entities they are judging, no one has form but the adventures. Anubians: Big dog, Butalow Lienpec, and Grace Full, who are also formless, approach the party, they lead the party past anubis who gives them a nod, and into the offices of the Anubians. Far above the city the adventures appear on a balcony, the ranking of the Anubians is explained, 9 being the highest and directly able to influence the nature and shape of the City of the infero at will, and 1 being the lowest, only able to shape small paths or roads.
The adventures jump down into the city, which is a miss-mash of cultures and styles from all over the two worlds. Kernels (walled out sections) mark areas officially registered with the anubians and outside lie the outskirts. The city itself is based on collective belief and agreement on reality, lots of people remembering a tower in new spire causes that spire to appear in the city for people to exist in. Thus you have this sort of "infinite spiraling Chinatowns" of smaller cultural and architectural hubs all mashed together. The dense bits are in the kernels and the outskirts are much more sparse and random.
The party splits, half go to a tavern called the Board Boar, and the other half goes to the temple district, which have temples stripped of their divine symbolism, to explore worship and how that works in the city.
