[Intro CoTSS] A Stroll Through Nostalgia II (Valencia, Dahabu)
Plot Synopsis
A scenic trek through the coastline of Valencia ends at a secluded cemetery overlooking the ocean. The old man (Zhang Qian) wanders further inside, leaving the party alone. The party uses the opportunity to grave-rob + raise undead skeletons (sourced ethically), before being beckoned to the interior. They find the old man finishing up a ritual prayer, before engaging the party in combat. Hinting at some “test”, he summons a mysterious scale and uses it to siphon the party’s names. By “redeeming” themselves, the party is able to slowly recover the letters of their names, using their conviction to defend against his “judgment” and assert who they are. Though Morthaeon and Ventina are tried and “hanged”, the party is able to pass the test and cleanse themselves of sin. He congratulates them and hints at great change involving mysterious vaults coming for Dahabu. The party claims their payment and heads their separate ways.
