Twentieth Delivery Session 1

Plot Synopsis

Co-GM: Jonathon Reilly

Kallaax, Happi Rockhop, Nerissa, and Fih Aquarius Tank meet up at a bougie tavern of sorts. There they meet a proxy for their hirer (Pharaoh Aten) in Tes of House Nepth, a halfing merchant that sits on the council of the city. Tes tells them to rest up for the night and to meet him on the docks in the morning, after introducing himself. After he leaves, the players spend some time getting to know each other and spend time around the bar.
Happi successfully convinces a wealthy tavern member to spill the beans on the general feeling of unease that is going through the city. In essence, Pharaoh Aten had pushed for returning more power back to the monarchy from the Houses which had gained it a hundred years or so back, and as a result was exiled from city limits, with many of the council member’s Houses working to cut off Pharaoh Aten from resources. However, Pharaoh Aten is making a gamble on opening vaults as a source of renown and wealth to try and return to grace; leveraging his authority over military assets and a few allies within Soko to supply his expedition.
The next day, they visit the decks (after a brief encounter where they were watched), and after a brief talk with the Commissioner of Development, Ling Yi from Ruefang and his entourage, Ves settles the trade deal. They learn that general imports are under heavy scrutiny right now, with the vessel not being allowed to disembark, but House Nepth pulled strings as the owner of this port to allow it. It is unusual that the Commissioner of Development is here, but he’s here to hand over a good number of expedition tools in exchange for an exorbitant amount of milphite which will be used to develop flying vessels to navigate the Sea of Fog; this has been officiated by a member of the Commission of Trade that is with them.
As the cargo is being moved off the ship over the next few hours, the players decide to get supplies. They get a number of potions and maps; help to load a specific wagon with some cargo (with some hijinks involving Jeremy - a fish now being wanted for property damage), before going to the city gates. There, they set off with other personnel from House Nepth in a caravan. At an oasis, Fih finds a scarab fish. About a day’s ride away from the Pharaoh’s location, in the middle of the night - an ambush occurs with cavalry riding in quickly, spears drawn onto the party and the caravan they are travelling with prepare for combat.

All potions purchased were 50 gold each, and will last indefinitely; the scarab fish will be awarded at the end of intro as an apprentice item.
Adam gained 3 3d6 DU Potions
Thomas gained 1 3d6 DP Potion
Parker gained 1 3d6 DP Potion
