Plot Synopsis

Week 1 (7/14-7/17)
Adventurers showed up to the hiring, got ice cream. Bought some provisions. Discussed details of the job. Very little to report this week.

Week 2 (7/18-7/24)
Adventurers got into a shipwreck, repaired the ship, and explored the hex they were in. Two adventurers got cursed for cutting down trees as part of repairing the ship, of which Tippi and Charlie removed the curses before anything happened.

Week 3 (7/25-7/31)
The week started by adventurers finding a slow moving river. Nico Rico looked for fish but didnt find any, so Polara and Kavi made the river explode. Because of this act of aggression, something cursed them though this time they didnt do anything about it. They decided to follow the river towards Lake Boudain, though halfway through the day the river reversed its flow. Charlie casted plant sing to get information about whats going on. She learned that there is a monster roaming the jungle thats preventing ‘beasts of the blood’ from living there. Which is why they never encountered insects or animals to this point. Come the end of the day, after night set, the curse activated on Kavi and Polara, causing them to want to kill the party. This went hilariously with Polara drawing smut instead as she telekinesis’d party around. Kavi tried to firebomb Charlie, but Charlie is immune to fire. This, really was hysterical to watch.

Week 4 (8/1-8/7)
Adventurers traveled through the swamp and tributaries of the river. There, they found a hut made by a paranoid madman named ‘Uncle Istivan’ who they temporarily casted a spell on to clear up his insanity. There, he answered questions about the creature they face, known as the Dredge. A foul undead creature who is likely a leftover remnant of the being known as ‘Anti-Osiris’ from years past.

Week 5 (8/8-8/14)
The battle commenced with the Dredge, originally starting in the middle of a hurricane and nightfall. The Dredge made it extremely dark, which was undone by Charlie rateburning, and the storm was held at bay by Kavi doing a rain dance spell. The battle itself was nasty, with wild DP swings as the Dredge transformed into 4 undead T-Rex’s, biting and chomping the party. Part way in, the Dredge managed to get its curse to stick to Polara and Kavi, making all their dice rolls the worst possible outcome. Polara casted ‘fight on’ to avoid death at -195. Kavi was brought to 0 or negative twice but pulled through. Haru was barely left alive by a reactionary healing spell that brought them 3 DP away from instant death. At the end, the party succeeded and took a rest.
