Plot Synopsis

Vesper session! (Yay!)
We return to base
Null is shoved into a bag of holding for plot convenience
Mary Grace and Jeff are gone, save for Jeff’s other boot
Inara now has both
Black sludge on the foot of the boot
There’s quite a lot of black sludge actually
Natashya’s station is destroyed and the samples are gone
The fridge is open, and has black on the handle
All the meat is gone
We let Null out, she has a panic attack or something
“THE PROPERTY VALUES!”
We hear clanking in the vents
Sounds like animals to Inara
A puff of air comes out
Steely blue / bluish grey / ashy blue in the vent
Not the pale, John Lichen is asking for help
Null hears: “Fingers needs help”
Everyone Else: “Help”
John Lichen also says Natashya needs help
The lights are flickering, our friend with the oil has stopped doing his job
We go to the basement again
Elevator isn’t working because “you need to get your steps in”
Ooze in the pool table room, clanking from the vents
Inara investigates the vents, somethings speak in entish
One voice asks if she is a friend
Says yes, vent noises
“Friend is scared”
“Friend need help, dragon lady is gone”
“She helped us she kept us fed”
The vent creature(s) don’t know where Natashya is
“We have many eyes but not all of them see very well”
Who are you - “She didn’t give us a name, she just gave us food. Each of us had a name but it has been too long to remember”
The vent thing moves away through the vent

John lichen spray comes out of the vent
Inrara and Null: “Friend is Untrustworthy”
All: “Untrustworthy”

Screaming coming from the floor above
As we go up, the light from the stairs is dark
There is lichen all over the place
Whatever was down here, there are trails carved into the lichen as though something was dragged
A LOT of drag marks
Some of them have black sludge under them
A recent trail goes to the closet
30 mins of figuing out how to open the door
Jeff is in the closet
Jeff when asked how he got here: “That thing came for that lady”
“It’s not just one thing. Whatever it is, it aint right”
“It took my wife where is my wife”
“That thing has arms as long as 15ft long hoses”
Jeff is surprisingly calm, wants to go gambling
“It didn’t like the light”
His skin looks slightly dark
“The arms… they were black and they came…”
“They came from the dark, they came from the vents”
There is sludge coming off of him, his hands are still black
The sludge is following him
His clothes look fairly intact but are leaking the sludge
BLOOD ANALYST ON THE SLUDGE
10 different creatures
Most of it is animal blood
A very small portion of it is Kleemador Pureblood Blood
And a tiny bit of human
Jeff worries about terrorism
Find bones, view semblance
Less than a day old
They are black and sludgy but otherwise scarily clean
The lichen has also spread to the bone
The bone is from a costco pre-packaged rack of ribs
Inara senses something in the vents
It is as big as a 50-foot hose
Jeff is not undead
The black sludge is far too shiny
Jeff’s skin is moving under the sludge
Jeff lunges
Friend Deltarune’s arm comes through the ceiling (about as long as a 15 foot hose) and stabs Jeff
Jeff is dead
Friend Deltarune sucks the life out of Jeff
“He didn’t help, now he is one of us”
We go to deal with the power
Kitchen is full of meat wrappers and bones and stuff
The lichen is still in the power room
The base of the crane has lichen but the crane is covered in black slime
The skeleton is no longer with us ()
The oil barrels have been drained
Annabelle is limping slightly
We replace the skeleton with another skeleton
Leon cleans up the bones of the old skeleton for burial
A hand falls out of the tarp Leon was picking up
It was mary grace
She was killed by Friend Deltarune, stabbed in the side. She was not drained but is definitely dead.

WE LOOK FOR NATASHYA
Meat packs near the floor hole
We find Mary-Grace’s hat
We burn it
Inara echolocates a person in the garage
Raye gently opens the door, DDLC style
Raye rips the door off of its hinges
There are several empty meat packs
Natashya is here, facing towards the darkest corner and talking to it
It is unnaturally dark
She turns around and flinches at the light
Natashya was feeding her “lab partner”
“When you run out of rations, you have to get creative”
Lab partner seems to be John Lichen, she can only hear him when she ingests spores
John lichen’s plan, according to natashya
The bigger john lichen becomes by eating, the more spores you ingest, the closer you come
The black sludge is john lichen, turns into lichen when it dries
Natashya has drank the metaphorical and perhaps literal kool-aid
Natashya runs towards us, we all begin to feel queasy
Natashya has begun to turn stone blue, he hands are black, her fingers have elongated
Friend Deltarune’s hand comes out of the pit and stabs her
Drags her into the pit
“She was never going to be a great scientist. She was more of a stepping stone. Usually, when you’ve been locked down here for so long, you start to get desperate, and find any way to get out. When you’re constantly in pain, an amalgamation of meat and bones and whatever these are (tentacles)... Truthfully, she was right. I only needed one more person to get out of this place, but, I think 4 should do the job.”
So friend deltarune is john lichen
