Plot Synopsis
Book 3: The _____ Soul
Chapter I: The Adventurers and the Demoness
The party woke up in the middle of a forest around an extinguished campfire. They heard a disembodied voice known as the Storyteller who told them their goal was to Slay a Demoness who was in the basement of a House in the forest. Party questioned the Storyteller, and he was quite vague about the reasoning other than the Demoness would destroy the world if she escaped. Party eventually decided to go free the Demoness in the basement. They left their weapons upstairs and headed down a lantern-lit staircase. The Demoness had a soothing voice and said she had not had visitors in ages. She couldn't remember much of how she got there, but all she knew was that she had been down there. Alone. Kessel cut off the Demoness' hand that was chained to the wall to free her with a clean slice of their talon, and he used bronze flames to immediately cauterize the wound. The Storyteller tried to fortify the door to the basement to prevent them from escaping, but Kessel made a request to the Flame of Rebirth to empower them, but it was too much power for Kessel's body to handle. The Demoness was devastated, but party helped her escape the basement and out into the world. However, the world is not what the party found. As they opened the door to the outside, they were met with a void of nothingness, and their world went dark.
