Plot Synopsis
Book 2: The Bright Soul
Chapter I: The Adventurers and the Demoness
The party woke up in the middle of a forest around an extinguished campfire. They heard a disembodied voice known as the Storyteller who told them their goal was to Slay a Demoness who was in the basement of a House in the forest. Party questioned the Storyteller, and he was quite vague about the reasoning other than the Demoness would destroy the world if she escaped. Party eventually decided to burn the world down before even meeting the Demoness. Rudrus casted fire spells that party was excluded from, and the entire forest burned down along with the House and the Demoness. Kessel created a platform in the air to help prevent too much smoke inhalation from party members with a weaker immune system. Eventually, the world was destroyed, and everything was consumed into darkness.
Chapter II: The Burned
The party woke up in the middle of a plain around an extinguished campfire. They heard a disembodied voice known as the Storyteller who told them their goal was to Slay a Demoness who was in the basement of a House. Party tested how the House worked by going in many different directions and entering from different locations. They all ended up in the same House at the same time. They wanted to explore more of the outside world, but the Storyteller locked the door to try to keep them inside. They complained and tried to escape. Eventually, the Storyteller struck a deal with them. Kessel would go outside and plant flowers and trees while the rest of party went down to Slay the Demoness. They went down a wooden staircase into a wooden cellar. They found the skeleton of the Demoness chained to the far wall. Ruby attempted to take the skeleton outside for a proper burial, but she was stopped by the door being suddenly slammed shut and an immaterial version of the Demoness made of pure fire atop the stairs. Party minus Kessel fought the Demoness, and they were all knocked unconscious. The Storyteller pleaded with Kessel to help his party members. Kessel agreed but had no way of getting downstairs. The Storyteller mustered the power to teleport Kessel downstairs where Kessel created a box of flowers to 1v1 the Demoness. They had their ice pup, Boreous, toss the Demoness up into the air as they shot the demoness between the eyes, and the Demoness exploded like a firework. The party then picked the lock of the door which had no lock and were able to escape. They found a crucifix with the Burned Demoness held to it with thousands of hands. Party talked with the Demoness and asked what path they should try next. She suggested not bringing weapons in Chapter I. The world then went dark, and the Burned Demoness was gone.
