The Rougtero Incident Session 1

Plot Synopsis

Only 3 party members were present: Odin, Inkeri, and Rodrigo the Penguin
Initially, it was just a normal day in Rougtero, Rodrigo got his armor fixed, Odin and Inkeri were selling potions. There was an explosion outside the City Hall which turned out to be a warning cannon shot fired at a barricade of rebels who had been engaged in a riot outside the city hall. The riots were organized by two patrician brothers named Justi and Jacobi Moricosi who wanted justice for the recent attack on the judiciary office. Pursuant to that, they wanted to have the Kothian ambassador (who they believe was involved, but he was not) released to them so they can “dispense justice”. The party arrived and deescalated the situation, then got the police and the Moricosis together and interrogated the ambassador, revealing his innocence. During the end of this process, magic started to drain the life of everyone in the city and put adventurers to sleep. The party went to the local isisite temple, only to find everyone inside murdered, including the head isisite who was a councilmember. Then the party went to look for the source of the magic, couldn’t find it, before realizing that it was likely in the city walls. As the party approached the walls, a sniper shot at Inkeri, but Odin interposed in front of it. Immediately afterwards, the Archangel Hanlon (Isis servitor) appeared above the city, and forbade death within the city, reversing the drain and preventing people from dying.
