Echoes of the Null-Blood Waters S9-10

Plot Synopsis

Party arrived at the location described by Dr. Vortex and found a shipping container with guards that were waiting for them. They fought and won with minimal casualties (Isurn and Nyx got decapitated). They entered the shipping container and found many mutated loafs. Through some skill checks, they were able to find out that these ghouled loafs were failed experiments by Dr. Vortex. These failed experiments were sent here and guarded to prevent people from finding them and to keep the ghouled loafs contained within a silent steel and teresium alloy to restrain the magic of the loafs. Through trial and error, Reese and Bard were able to cure the loafs through magical means. Curiosity got the best of Nyx, so she pushed a red button on a pedestal, closing the door behind them. Everyone but Nyx was able to get out of the shipping container. Eventually, she was able to escape by doing nothing for 30 seconds.

Isurn found themself on a lake. When she stood up and looked around, she found herself on a battlefield with numerous casualties. She made her way towards a general's tent and met with Legion. She had a conversation and joined the Legion in exchange for a necklace of boar tusks. She tested out her defensive abilities. Once she was brought back to life and Nyx was revived by Reese, the party discussed what their next move would be. They loaf communicated with Danika, and they would be sending an army. Pronto had a strange feeling his loaf was still around the laboratory, so he was going to go to the laboratory to find out more. Party decided to join him and ultimately wanted to go to the laboratory before the army got there. They heard Dr. Vortex speaking on a Leywhisper Codec on one of the guards dead bodies. Stan and Eri ended up communicating with Dr. Vortex. Dr. Vortex tried to hire Stan. Stan found out some information about the defenses before getting bored and tossing the Codec away, activating a chaos effect that Stan was unable to speak for 1 week. Party decided to rest inside Stan's bear house before heading towards the lab. They find a totally normal house that Bard, Nyx, and Stan went into. Bard collects some totally normal water that is the best he's ever had from a totally normal sink. Nyx explored a totally normal attic and got bored. They came back out with nothing happening to them. They came back to a paranoid group that expected something to happen, but nothing was visibly wrong. A totally normal Eldritch Being wandered and offered to help them for the low low price of helping out with a future adventure. Party was split, but eventually they decided to deny his (ass)istance.
