Enter the Darklands; Session 9 - The House of Silence [Darklands, GM Plane]

Plot Synopsis

The party returned to the Last Redoubt, finding it short circuiting, parts of it smoking. The electromagnetic field was weakening and a large group of monsters were outside the pyramid. Heading inside, the party saved the Master Monstruwacan from being eaten by a Night Wolf. The party and the Master Monstruwacan were able to save a few others, 14 civilians, from annihilation. The party led the civilians out of the Last Redoubt and into the Flying Machine right before the last bits of the Last Redoubt’s power failed. The Master Monstruwacan mentioned he heard some strange chains below the earth, rumbling, before subterranean golden monsters pierced the Last Redoubt and took out the generators. The backups kicked on but were not strong enough to keep everything out.

Flying away, the party parked near the House of Silence to catch their bearings while the civilians watched the destruction of their own home. Mercy and Lila went inside the House of Silence to see what was in there. Inside, they found a cellar that lead to a pit. Inside the pit, a mile down, was a golden chain, divine in nature, that Mercy identified as part of a god, likely Rudri. Lila threw a teddy bear down there, that absorbed part of Her Will. Meanwhile, the rest of the party observed another set of quakes that started to crack the earth itself open.
