Voyage to the Abyss (Session 4)

Plot Synopsis

After returning from the bottom floor of the ship, the party walked into the dining room to discover Mrs. Grey was missing (presumably dead). The staff seemed to be spreading word that the party has been sneaking around and that they are the likely culprits of Roy's murder and Mrs. Grey's disappearance. Mr. Grey wholeheartedly believed the staff and went off on the party. As a large argument ensued, Bryn went missing. The party proceeded to search for her and ended up being unsuccessful for a while. When they went back to the bottom of the ship to look for her, Doppel made his way into a room where a staff-bot was torturing a worker for "stepping out of line." they then went to the top of the ship to look for her and still did not find her. However, Maxi was able to somewhat decipher the code that runs the robots. She figured out that the robots are attempting to make live sacrifices of "notable individuals" and the staff-bots are killing the insignificant people before they sacrifice the others because "their offering will offend them." Roy and Mrs. Grey were seemingly insignificant according to this code, and Louis seemed to be the last person on their list that had to die before the sacrifice. While this was happening, Bryn, who looked frantic, ran into Doppel saying that she was captured by staff-bots who were going to use her as leverage to make the party admit that they did the murders in front of the rest of the passengers, but she escaped. The party then went to attempt to find Louis and protect him where Saber made a magically binding deal with Louis that he would do his best to protect him along with some other terms. The party then went to sleep. Maxi and Filet-O-Fish felt the presence of a large shadowy creature in their mind while they were sleeping that spoke to them in a guttural sounding incomprehensible language. Doppel woke up to being offered to buy real estate.
