Voyage to the Abyss (Session 3)

Plot Synopsis

The party found Roy (an npc) dead in a hallway. He was electrocuted and then beat to death with blunt force. Other players and npcs came to the scene of the murder and have very different reactions from pure shock to accusing each other. A little while later, Shahz used blood magic to learn that the staff on the boat had no blood or heartbeat. Doppel confronted one of them and tried to be violent against it and discovered the staff are robots. Doppel hid in a closet and noticed the staff had no sense of aggression against him once he came back out. Vyra (another npc) saw the whole event play out. A little while later, the party found a door on the outside of the door, lockpicked it, and found a ladder going down. Doppel went down first disguised as a staff member. He found a room with coal and burners or whatever they are called to power the steam engine on the boat. There were living people shoveling the coal and operating the mechanisms, and staff was down there just watching. Doppel tried to interact with one of the staff members and it thought he was malfunctioning and brought him to a charging station where the rest of the party had to rescue him from. Maxi went hostile against the robots and realized they were only being hostile against her back and no one else. She also realized they were trying to knock her out, not kill her. Saber attempted to destroy a computer in the robot charging room and a barrier around it knocked him back. The session ended with the party leaving the downstairs of the boat.
