Beyond the Gray Fog II

Plot Synopsis

After getting used to their newly acquired Beyonder abilities, the group feels some of the worldly restrictions placed upon them being released, getting closer to their original levels of power. Atlas, Zaphani, J.I.M, Kali, and Mr. Sims decided that the best place they should look for “Indulgence” would be in the red-light district located between Quartier 13 and 14. While Sylva, Bubbles, and Thomas stay back to rest. Along the way the group gets distracted by a bar and eventually end up at an illegal gambling den run by the Savoie Mob. Here they learn about how the illegal side of Trier is run, by the two gangs Poison Spur and Savoie. They get recommended by the owner of the gambling den Francis to head to the nearby theatre, Théâtre de l’Ancienne Cage à Pigeons, that has been attracting their customers away. Here Atlas recognizes one of the actors as one of the people he saw in his vision, and J.I.M. gets entranced by the performance only looking away after being slapped by Kali. The night goes on and as the party returns to the Church of the Fool, they get assigned a mission by Temperance: “Protect some school kids as they venture into Underground Trier and prevent the plans Bliss Society has with these students.”. The party heads underground the next day and feels an eerie chill wash over their bodies as they walk down. They are told to not let their candles go out no matter what. The party encounters an aquatic creature living in the underground river that is placated by Bubbles using the powers given to her from her potion. Then they continue towards the ruins of 4th Epoch Trier and their candles suddenly go out. The party is magically separated each with a couple students. As everyone struggles to make their way out of the tunnels, Astolfo, one of the students, leads Kali, Thomas, and another student into a trap set up by the Bliss Society to convert the students’ faith. Everyone manages to make their way out of the tunnels, the students return to their dorms and the party returns to the Church of The Fool. as they wind down for the night Atlas receives another vision: he sees Astolfo with the group of students conducting a ritual. They then receive another message from Temperance, “The Bliss Society plans on hosting a large gathering soon, I need you all to be there to stop whatever they are planning”.
