A Festive Mind [Dirge of the Depths] - Sessions 3-6
Plot Synopsis
Liston, Geleia
The Liston festival creates a lively environment and the party is split up with one of the NPCs: Mi’shi, A’no, and No’ki. The party with Mi’shi stop an attempted terrorist attack by a cult member that “worships” Neptune, the party with A’no have their fortunes read, and the party with No’ki bet on horses. After regrouping, they stop additional cult members from disrupting the main parade, before splitting up once more. The party with No’ki enter a casino to prevent cheaters and unruly gamblers, the party with Mi’shi observe a gala held by the upper class and discover that Bramble was a speaker abyssling within their group, and the party with A’no follow a suspicious figure into the sewers.
In just a blink, all of the party members (except for Celestine and Kessel) wake up to be back in their own homes. Fighting against their inner demons and past horrors, they eventually wake up to confront the abyssling apocalypse that has come over Liston. The party at the casino learn about abysslings that can transfer damage to civilians, and the party with A’no learn that the suspicious individual is an artificer trying to fight the abysslings and Bramble is not who he says he is.
Returning to the guards station, they help make it a safe haven for those awake and survivors of the apocalypse. There, they are trained by a strong old man to eventually fight whatever is waiting for them at the mansion.
Having been summoned by the voice in their head, the entire party returns to the mansion and fights Bramble and his horde of abysslings. Thomas died mid battle, but was brought back with the help of Celestine and Anubis. After successfully killing the abysslings, the party cremates Bramble’s body and return to the guard station to plan for the next course of action.
