Plot Synopsis

Off-Plane Co-GM: Connor Wang

Opening their eyes, 8 adventurers from Jaern, Cayhali, and beyond found themselves in a mysterious room. No indication of who summoned there or for what purpose, except for a single gold coin pocketed instantly by an avaricious Mr. Sims. Furthermore their weapons felt heavier, their magic less potent, as if their very essence was being rejected by the world. With no other choice, the party exits the abandoned house to discover a strange world. Familiar enough in architecture and ambiance as Shinneok, yet radically different in language, culture, and faith. The slums of Quartier 14 in the city of Trier.
Inevitably after paying off a passerby with far too valuable silver, the party became the target of a roaming gang of thieves. Despite their weakened abilities, their martial/magical prowess still proved more than a match for common street thieves. Brushing off light wounds, the party was suddenly whisked away by an enveloping gray fog. Greeted by a mysterious figure named "Temperance" and deposited within The Church of the Fool. Left to their own devices to explore, the party pieced together the general history of this world. A world of Gods, Epochs, and Beyonders. And tried to market a toaster.
Contacted through that same gold coin, the party was once again brought to the gray fog, and presented a series of potions. The sequences that Beyonder travel to grasp knowledge beyond their control. Every adventurer took their pick of Sequence 9 potion, regaining a fragment of their lost power. Alongside this gift, the party received their first task. To infiltrate "Those Who Indulge" and stop their ambitions. Of whom, the newly awakened 'Monster' Atlas received a brief uncontrollable glimpse. A banquet of excess and indulged hedonism.
