AbyssDivers 1 [Dirge of the Depths Main Arc] (Jaern Oceans)
Plot Synopsis
The party arrived at the docks finding them heavily damaged from the assault that had happened 3 days before, the party met the captain of their vessel Captain John Shark Killer, aboard his vessel the Maiden Voyage the 2nd along with his first mate, First Mate John. The party figures out their rooming assignments finding supplies and learning of their plan to track Isaac Ghaldric down. after journeying to the first spot the party begins their descent being lowered by this massive platform. The party arrives at the bottom of the ocean floor having descended 4000 meters.
Elias used a communication charge to figure out where they are supposed to go having forgotten to ask earlier. They enter the cave and Rosse sees that the walls seem to be moving but doesn't seem to tell anybody. as they finally descend into the main cavern of the cave, they realize THE FLOOR IS FLESH and covered in eggs. They see a large metal device and the eggs start to open. They go to investigate the machine and hold their ground forming a circle around it as they begin to try and repair and activate the device. The flesh around them seems to get more agitated as they activate the device and begin to run to the exit. They attempt to run from the cave and Rosse uses another charge of the communication stone to call the captain to help them escape. Rosse sets up a spatial fold to try and stall the threat, but this doesn't stop them all as Elias gets attacked by a large black great white shark abyssling. They reach the platform in time and manage to escape with zero casualties seeing as the cave itself seems to move having been an abyssling itself.
