Plot Synopsis
After resting the night before, party wakes to go fight the so called champion the cultists spoke about. They know it's likely to be in the one large square room in the sewers that they have been to multiple times from the cultists predictions. They don protective equipment and descend into the sewers after entering the sewer headquarters. They quickly find large amounts of abysslings but they seem to avoid party. After traveling through the sewers, abysslings scuttling around them. They eventually enter the large room and see a small waist high waddling abyssling slowly waddling towards them. Abysslings follow behind it slowly, watching party as the group advances towards them. Party then has a dozen round discussion as the creature approaches them. They finally enter combat after they notice the bloom is expanding underfoot and suddenly the creature moves through the bloom and reappears next to them. Party immediately body destroys the creature and its blown away into not even dust.
At the end of the round, the abysslings throughout the room seem to melt into the bloom and the creature suddenly reappears out of the bloom with a scream. It now stands a head height and it moves slower yet seems stronger. After several more rounds of spells, it is body destroyed again and reforms again. This time it stands at nearly 15 feet tall and seems signficantly stronger. Several rounds later it is finally put down again, not body destroyed this time. It reforms into a 20-25 ft tall beast and spite enlarges to match it. Spite and the creature battle a titanic battle, the room shaking with their blows before party ignites their explosive weapons and hits both spite and the creature with it. The creature, on the brink of death already, dies quickly and it appears permanent. Spite nearly dies under the onslaught, not of the creature but of the explosives.
After the explosives, party confirms the creature is dead and the remaining abysslings flee into the tunnels. Party levitates out through a hole in the roof caused by their fight. Atirathi yells out and says an ominous statement and party quickly copies him and mutters increasingly ominous and strange statements before they flee the scene. They receive their gold payment from Mr. Borelock and flee the country. Spite is seen loping away from the city, still titan sized.
