Plot Synopsis
After checking on the state of Charles' villa, the party returns to SMC headquarters to find Van Asdale, who is now seemingly infected and perhaps moments away from ordering the automatons to turn on Fo'evadi. He manages to escape with the help of a massive automaton, and when Charles tries to teleport onboard it knocks him away, forcing party to pursue and face it atop a large tower nearby. In the battle Dave and Tav manage to hurl a large fuel rod at the machine, greatly hurting it, Charles manages to ram his (new and improved) Ars Machina into it, and with Charles' help Cricket manages to find a way inside and destroy the automaton's core from within. They are all able to escape as it explodes, with Dave and Tav finishing off the mangled remains of Van Asdale, and Fo'evadi saved from the abyssling threat by the remaining automatons.
