Plot Synopsis
The party puts their plan in motion to steal the completed Heart of the Sea. The moment they touch it, though, they are all transported into a dreamlike memory-space within the Heart, where they witness the last days of old Jaern and meet Jaern the person themselves. They talk to some dragons who are leaving for an unknown hope, and console Jaern on their uncertainty regarding their plan to rescue the planet.
By showing Jaern their memories of the modern day, they bring them over to their side. Once they exit the memory-space, they stuff the crystal into a bag of holding, and a hail-mary DI to Ra places another glowing object in its place to provide light to Elegian. They rendezvous with the Onivero military squad and the councilor who gave them the mission, and escape the city on a manta-ray submarine vehicle.
Soon, they arrive at the nest threatening Elegian and consider what to do with the Heart of the Sea. They discover that they only have so many uses of its massive psionic power, and resolve to use most of it to seed an alternate strain of non-hostile abysslings that can break the hivemind and counteract existing hostile ones, and leave enough of the crystal left over to revive Jaern into the modern day, so they can travel the world once more.
