Plot Synopsis

Being able to hear the approaching of the many mobilized Phyrexians trying to catch up with them as they progressed through the laboratory, the party doubled down and increased the pace to find the central area of the dungeon where the main experiments on Phyrexian transference were being conducted. The south group returned to the central experiment control chamber and immediately began to attempt to destabilize the controls, adding one more alarm to the several that were constantly blaring in the background out of tune. The west party tripped an alarm in a laboratory which warned of a containment breach, forcing them to evacuate that room quickly.

Fighting their way down southwards once they reached the far west area of the dungeon, they were coming upon more and more Phyrexian overseer type constructs, indicating that the main area they were looking for was getting closer. The south group attempted to finish clearing out the southeast experiment area, only for one of the rooms to trigger a trap that teleported all except for Ranette (who was not in the room) into different rooms of the dungeon. Scattered to the dungeon corners, the party destroyed the individual Phyrexians who tried to pin them down and broke into the last few secondary experiment and data areas. This both gave them an overview of the “boss room” as well as gave them a final confirmation that the Phyrexians were trying to drain the essence of countless of their lesser broods to create a new Phyrexian Praetor, the greatest type of Phyrexian which ruled the species and so far only had five of in existence. Converging at the various entrances to the room housing this new Praetor experiment, the party prepared to go into combat.
