Plot Synopsis
The party explores a little around the Onivero city of Elegian and is invited to a meeting with the city's oligarchical council. The other parts of the Heart of the Sea are in an approximately person-sized crystal at the top of the city, providing light to the undersea environment. Uriel asks At'ena for an opinion, and receives a cryptic and ominous vision. She knows that three of the councilors are different from the other two. When they meet, they inform the council that they have come into instances with abysslings capable of rapid evolution and communication in language. They suspect that some of the councilors may be abyssling sympathizers, and pry a little further to figure out which they might be.
After this, Steel catches the leader of the council, who they have deduced to not be an abyssling sympathizer. He confirms that there is an issue with the city being compromised, hands over the memory of witnessing a group of Onivero willingly being assimilated, and the councilor appears to be on the party's side and requests a meeting the next day. The councilor confirms that the Heart of the Sea is also called the Shard of Jaern.
At this meeting, the party is given a new mission in line with what had been requested before: sneak through the government building and steal the large crystal.
