Whispers of the Deep VI (Foe'vadi, Jaern)

Plot Synopsis

After leaving the sewers, the party notices the guard captain is rummaging through Damian's desk at the sewer headquarters. After waiting for him to leave, the party investigates the office and finds no notable information.
That night, the party hatches a plan to infiltrate the central government building under construction to search for leads. Spite, Erling, and Ilona infiltrate through the roof and successfully enter the building unnoticed. After roaming around, they discover that most of the building has gone unused. Erling discovers an ornate pen and pockets it. Moving downstairs, the party hears footsteps and notices a disguised Borelock Polmes sneaking around looking for clues. Party continues to hide as Borelock discovers a hidden ladder in the hallway, leading to a large, empty, damp room below. As the three members follow behind, Borelock then discovers a tunnel down to the sewers in the corner of the room. Party investigates the room further before leaving the way they came.
After a day of waiting, the party heads to the neighborhood cookout. There, they find the assassin they bribed, who asks for his 1500 gold. After discussing the contract, the assassin accepts 115 gold as payment, but is pickpocketed by Erling. They then encounter the Isisite priest, who is selling lettuce for an egregious amount of gold. Finally, party encounters a group of Neptunians who are selling suspicious-looking fish tacos. Nemu takes a fish taco, at which point a Neptunian approaches Nemu and proclaims that he has won a chance to win 1000 gold if they go to a certain location the next day. After asking various questions to the Neptunians, party decides to burn the fish tacos and dump some more suspicious-looking meat into the port.
