Defense of Scadrial Weeks 5-7/?

Plot Synopsis

After a short rest some of party, including Clementine, VAL, and a semi-kidnapped Kyu headed out to investigate whatever it was Ryne talked about spotting previously. After some traveling they come across a similar creature made of mist and bones. The creature is clearly magical in some divine nature, but the exact mechanics aren't clear. It doesn't seem to be intelligent nore does it seem to pose much of a threat so party headed back. Upon the others waking up the party collectively investigated a suspicious house they had seen previously, finding it empty but spotting a hidden man-made cave beneath. Following the cave it seems to lead into the Canton of Inquisition building they were in before. The crow, hearing this, starts insisting on going in stealthily to investigate, to which party acquiesces. The crow then delicately smashes a window and flies through the building causing panic and general havoc to those withing, but also happening upon an incredibly useful file that it barely gets to party before being swiftly killed.

Now with a destination in mind, party heads to this "Conventicle of Seran" over the course of a significant amount of time. During their travels they come across a group of a couple hundred blue creatures with disturbing skin. Party attempted communication, but it failed, and they left after obtaining a spike for the annoying crow. The crow, with the spike, was somehow able to see blue lines leading to and from pieces of metal in the vicinity.

Party finally arrives at their destination and finds a group of people waiting for them. The group proceeds to attack, ignoring attempts at peaceful communication. Two of the enemies escape, and a third seemed to not be an enemy at all, complaining about party ruining some sort of "infiltration" and leaving upset.
