The man who Peered into the Abyss 2 [Dirge of the Depths Intro] (Woofdont, Jaern)

Plot Synopsis

The party having rested in Woofdont university housing that was taken away from incoming freshmen to accommodate them was teleported to the town of Ailwein during the opening day of the kings day festival honoring the past monarchs of the rulers of Galea. The party entered the city by claiming to be Orus followers who wished to see the festival in all its glory. The party explored the festival getting trinkets and speaking with locals, and some of them even gambled away all of their money, one of the party also shot a shop keeper in the eye with a bow and arrow at a carnival game. The party then realized the guards were disappearing and aimed to follow where they were going. The party headed towards the docks where they were stopped by guard private Dylan who demanded they not go any further as something was attacking the docks, the party then bribed Dylan to get by.

Arriving at the docks they found it under abyssling siege watching as the guards were helplessly absorbed into the hoard being turned into abysslings. Then Captain John Kraken Killer, emerged onto the scene taunting the abysslings and resulting majority of the abysslings going to attack him, as he dealt with the hoard the party had to fight and kill the turned guards. As the combat drew to its end the abysslings began to retreat as more and more guards showed up at the scene. The party then talked to Captain John who told them he was the one who had taken Isaac out to sea. The party then talked with Galean officials who gave them gold in exchange for their promise to keep this "terrorist attack" under wraps to not destroy the spirit of the king's day festival.
