Plot Synopsis
The party meets up with their hirer, marine biologist Mirthal Damyar, who tasks the party with catching a sperm whale long enough to get some samples and perform a check-up, as they are concerned about the strangely hostile activity of local marine life. After Captain Silas sets the Herald out to sea, the party soon spots a trail of blood. After an encounter with piranhas and the acquisition of one piranha sushi, they spot a fishing boat off on the horizon where the blood seems to have originated. Suspicious, the party boards the fishing ship with permission and inspects the wares, finding a piece of black goop in a barrel of dead fish. After failing to bottle it, the party gets Mirthal to inspect it, and they claim the goop is dead but should not be touched. The party then buys the barrel from the fishermen, who point them in the direction of the sperm whale. Eventually, the ship is hit by said sperm whale, and the panicked party hastily patch up the ship, shoot a few piranhas, and set off after the whale once more.
