SOG - Memories Doused in Blood(Session 6, Off Plane)

Plot Synopsis

Session begins with party rushing back to the castle. As they arrive, the entrance is closed yet no sighs of invasion can be seen. As party heads inside, they notice similar lack of anything that signifies the gods soldiers were here. As party looks through the castle, Thetis begins to slightly notice traces of divine essence that disappear almost as soon as he looks at them. Sara is able to fully see them as they cover the house. As party heads upstairs, they enter one of the Templars rooms. When they try and awaken them, they find that they have been put in a magic sleep. Additionally, the crest on their bedside seems to lack any magic. Party runs around the house, finding similar results throughout the castle, with everyone asleep and the crest inactive. Party then decides to head downstairs to check on the armor below the castle.

Party begins to head downstairs but finds that a wall has blocked their way. After a bit of messing around, they discover it is an illusion blocking them off. Party chooses to open a spot in the floor to head below. At the bottom, the door heading inside doesn't seem to react to anything. Smokestack uses magic to peak through the wall where he discovers the soldiers of the Gods have set up an encampment with a portal sending more in. He returns and relays this info the party. As they try to figure out what to do, the princess calls Thetis through the crest and is filled in to the situation. After a bit of back and forth, Vox, who had accompanied the princess, tells her of a secret entrance to get down. The princess relays this information to party, who is able to head to her room to discover the entrance. Using the power of the crest, they find a secret room that belonged to the previous queen, Juno. They obtain some background information before heading out to the center to stop the soldiers.

As party exits, they find a magic circle surrounding the armor with many of the soldiers inside. Additionally, a large divine knight by the name of Palamicia is watching over. Palamicia talks with party and after awhile, decides to engage in a fight with them. If they win, she and the soldiers would leave while losing would result in death. Party is teleported to the battle arena and given time to prepare. Session ends before the fight begins.
