Raiders of the Serpent Sea 1

Plot Synopsis

This was mostly a half week. Adventurers showed up to hiring, where At'ena pulled them into their domain:
A cold wet sensation washes over you. Like icy water, it shocks you to your very core, causing you to try and gasp, only to feel like you are choking on the very air itself. Ahead of you, your vision is nothing but blackness. At the very corners of your vision, the world ripples as your eyes try to come back into focus, while your body screams out from the sensations of drowning. As the darkness fades, and your vision clears, you see a large circular stone room ahead of you, but not quite one you are in. A vision, you are certain. On the far end, a fire is lit casting long shadows across five other people within this room. Low hushed whispers can be heard, with you trying to focus past the sensation of suffocation.
“And you are sure of that?” Asks a tall, lanky humanoid man in a long leather cloak, dyed as green as an evergreen forest. He wields a staff of gold, currently slung across his back with several pouches and satchels at his side. He looks to be of elvish descent.
The being nearest the fire leans forwards on a throne of bone, skulls, and brimstone. Its embers rippling through with each of her movements. “I have never been wrong. Do not question me” She says in a deep voice, rebuking him
Another one of the five speaks, a taller lanky humanoid woman, who looks almost to be half decayed, also likely elvish in life. Speaking in a monotonous voice “Do not question her brother. She knows more than even the gods themselves on this. Not that they pay heed anymore.”
Standing next to her, a man in an exceedingly thick, black suit of armor taps his sword in approval, giving nothing more than a grunt. And beside him, a gorgeous woman, tall and floating slightly in the air. Black hair that reaches down to her mid back, done up with gold and beads, wearing a revealing black dress places a hand on the armored mans shoulder “Soon. Give patience to Lady Glasya, you will have your time” With her voice being extremely song-like and soothing. He lowers his sword, back to an at-ease position
The demon leans forward in the throne “We are so close. I know you four despise me, and likely each other, and that's fine” She says with a sneer “I don't like most of you either, but if we are going to reclaim our divinity, then let the bygones go, and focus on what is to come” She leans back in the throne
“So, Boda, why did you call this meeting in the first place? We have been ready to act for well over a year now”
The beautiful woman, Boda, will glide slightly forwards “Yes of course Lady Glasya. I wished to inform you of a vision given to me, that I worry jeopardizes the plan. Of all things, a child”
“A child?”
Boda nods while Glasya thinks “...Why?”
“Much like the deities we are about to claim, I believe the child is one we overlooked before. She goes by the name Siddhe and has been quite peculiar to try and scry. ”
The tall lanky man puts a hand on his chin and goes into thought “Siddhe… Siddhe… I have heard this name”
Interjecting sharply as she snaps a hand up at the man and Boda. Glasya eyes snap to you with a evil twisted grin “QUIET. It seems we are not alone.” Now focusing directly on you. “How rude, you should have at least introduced yourself beforehand” With a hand outstretched, a searing heat burns through you faster than you can react
But as it becomes too much to handle, the fire sears through your body. You are violently ripped out of the vision by something sharply pulling on your hair and thrown back across the ground, covered in pine needles and dirt. Your face is wet with a slightly sticky substance that burns your eyes as you hear other thuds near you. A moment later a wet cloth is put into your hands as a feminine voice says “Wash your face, just breathe. The vision is over, though I did not expect it to turn so foul”

The land around you almost seems to be that of a pine forest. In the center of this little clearing is a fire with a bubbling cauldron of blood over it. Around you, outside the range of the firelight is nothing but blackness, albeit you think you can see more trees against the very dim light. As well, you do notice coming off each of your back is a single silver thread, around 2 meters long and vanishing up into the sky behind you. Ahead of you, the woman who pulled you out of the cauldron is a tall, deep auburn haired woman. Hair done up in beads and braids, wearing a white silken dress with furs over her shoulders. She looks to be on the older end, 60’s perhaps, but with a leanness to her and a very methodical movement to her body

From here, the adventurers went to Flekkroya where they discovered that the Jarl Tyr knew, Cheryl, was dead. They interrogated the new Jarl and learned that he might have used less than savory means in his battle to take control of the city. Following this lead, they ran into Ahriman, a devil, and made a simple deal with him to find Siddhe
