Fate of Chains: Rozmakhigrad V [Shinneok, Cahyali; Pthora, Cahyali]
Plot Synopsis
Party begins the session about to engage in battle with a few hundred Ley’orkian troops in Arenti as the country falls. They are backed by their own group of Vervand soldiers they are rescuing after the fall of the arenti. The fight escalated as several fully finessed spells are cast in the first four seconds, killing almost all of the soldiers and ending the battle. Some survived and one of the prisoners asked to talk to party.
Party heard him out and began to talk to him before he started casting. They proceeded to shoot him in the chest while ripping out his tongue, killing him. They then revived him, then attacked him again, before sending him in the arms of a necromantic beast created out of the flesh of his soldiers back to the Ley’orkian forces. War crimes are truly a thing, I guess.
Party then met up with the Vervand forces that were on the hill (see last writeup) and then went to leave the country through a scheduled portal that would open up in a couple days. After some travel they arrived at the scheduled location before noticing two ships, Pthoran ships of the line. Ningguang teleported onto the ship and then impersonated the captain with a 10+ die check, successfully convincing the captain that Ningguang is actually the captain.
Vulvenaar flew onto the boat, and with Ningguang convincing people she is friendly, stole some magic items from the Pthorans that they looted from Arenti’s vault after the nation's fall. Ninnguang then proceeded to use a magic item to teleport the boats through a portal, excluding all the people (except Vulvenaar) on the boat so everyone fell out of the boats into the water.
This proved fatal as party had used spells to boil the water and was hitting the water with lightning and having all the soldiers shoot them. The soldiers all perished very quickly and very painfully, the second war crime of the session.
