Treasure Hunting Havoc 8 (GM Plane)

Plot Synopsis

The party travels through the portal into the giant plane. They arrive on top of a dining table where a group of giant nobles are hosting a banquet. The nobles freak out and call the guards while the party attempts to run away. The guards come and catch the party, scooping them all up into a giant bucket except for Alastair who uses his invisibility to hide. The nobles declare that the party has ruined their meal and are now being forced to participate in the Colosseum games, the nobles also have to have the chef executed. the party is taken to the dungeons below the Colosseum and placed underneath the bucket so they do not escape. a few hours pass while the party makes various escape attempts that fail before the giants just decide to keep a constant watch on them so they can't escape. The party is eventually brought to the game where their is a giant labyrinth in the center of the pit. 4 teams compete to be the first to the center of the shifting labyrinth and grab the golden trophy in the middle. The party makes their way through the shifting maze slowly as they get lost several times during it. They run into combat encounters with monsters placed throughout the maze and run into some traps. The party encounters the other teams but simply runs past them every time. The party eventually makes their way to the middle and is the first to claim the golden trophy, however they discover they also have to escape with it and now the other teams are after them. Zumwalt takes the trophy and uses several charges of speed burst to fly at incredible speed through the maze, avoiding the other teams and escaping. The walls of the labyrinth disappear and the crowd boos the party for winning. The party is taken back to their cell and the losers are taken to be executed.
