Plot Synopsis
Rik's body was possessed by his pet pseudoscorpion that he got from The Mines on Mordrik ages ago. The creature had the ability to transfer souls between bodies, but kept saying that Rik's soul “didn't fit” into his body. Calling themselves Remiro, the pseudoscorpion put Annabelle's nomadic spirit into a new body, decanted the wolf from Maris’ soul, and ejected Sauri from his body several times.
Rik was eventually placed into one of Annabelle's skeletons. Over the next few days on the boat, Maris taught Sauri English and helped Remiro learn to read. Gale read Sunny's journal to Rik, as Rik was unable to touch it, and most of the gang played several rounds of cards.
Eventually, the Frostdriver came to the border of Esrior. The party made a wild decisions and rammed the Frostdriver into the barrier, breaking them through, somehow.
Coming out on the other side, an Avian named Prior Jansson met the party, warning them to not go near the Strygarii guaring the land known as Ohtun. Ohtun was said to have the greatest fire known to all, obviously making them a target of Adrik. The party was allowed to enter the town, however, with Makar docking the boat. The group is now on Nidiaor, a continent previously unknown to the rest of Esrior.
