Fate of Chains: Rozmakhigrad IV [Shinneok, Cahyali; Pthora, Cahyali]

Plot Synopsis

Party decided to leave on the mission, “Fallen Allies”, given by the Parliament of Vervand. This mission’s objective is to rescue some Vervand troops in Arenti when the nation fell. They are in disputed territory with little to no support as they are both behind and ahead of enemy lines as chaos reigns. Party is to infiltrate and gather the stuck troops and bring them back to Vervand.

Party left on the mission and quickly found traces of one unit of Vervand troops but it appeared as if they were captured by 2 Pthoran units. After tracking them they were able to free the captured troops by a combination of distractions. 1: planting a bomb under the commanders tent and striking it with lighting at the same time as detonating the bomb, killing over 50 troops. 2: Stealing all the supply wagons by shoving them in a bag of holding, and more which caused party to free the troops with no casualties on their part and a lot on the other side.

Party with their new unit of Vervand troops were able to find traces of another unit. This unit had split with 30 troops heading to surrender to the Ember army troops occupying Shaati and 70 troops heading to merge with another unit. They followed the smaller group and discovered that they had surrendered before following the larger group. They found them on top of a large rocky hill, holding it along with another Vervand unit against a pthoran unit and the Pthoran units they had freed the Vervand unit from just yesterday.

They made contact with the troops upon the hill but on the way back while flying invisible, they spotted a bear that they had recruited to translate Pthoran military documents talking to the Pthoran units!!! (magic item shenanigans)
