Hook

Adventures wanted for investigation and possible destruction mission. See Lord Wills at 1pm.

Plot Synopsis

The adventurers meet Lord Wills and have a fabulous meal. After which, Wills explains that he has heard reports of a crashed "spaceship" about 13 hours from the portal farm and needs the adventurers to locate it. Once located he needs a device planted on it that will take information from it and then blow it up. He explains that they should be at least 1 met away before setting off the explosion, but a larger distance would be advisable.

The travel is uneventful and they arrive at the location the ship was reported crashed. They swim around for about 15 minutes before discovering it. They also see a few fish-like creatures swimming behind it. After each one successfully resists a mental effect, they decide to engage the creatures, but they disappear. They enter the ship and steal the few things they can after planting the device and pushing the download button.

They hear something outside and attempt to open the door, but it is locked. Rachel creates a safety whip and whips a hole in the door and kills one of the creatures while the other gets away. They are ready to start the timer on the device, but Rachel decides to port to their boat and make sure they are the proper distance away before that. During this time, the remaining people feel a slight distortion, but make nothing of it. They begin swimming back to the ship, but are followed by three fish-like creatures who successfully control Greyson and Kira's minds in a failed attempt to get them to kill each other.

They escape, but discover that they are a significant distance from the boat and Greyson is able to create a Aerodrako and find the boat after some searching. Kira uses a spell to place the device on the spaceship. After about 5 minutes a large wave hits their boat, but it only suffers minor damage and they return to the Portal Farm and then to Centralia City for payment.
