Brain Freeze [Gilded Slumber] Game 8; A Song of Ice and Fire and Lightning (Rozmakhigrad, Pthora, Cahyali)
Plot Synopsis
The game started with Izzu having one hell of a dream about a fiery bird rising from a volcano and setting parts of the world ablaze. This shifted into gunshots as glass shattered and fell onto a casino table, with the glass piercing a King of Hearts card. A dragonfly appears only to be shooed away by a skeleton, only for sounds of wailing and crying to begin shattering the reality around the dream before Izzu jolts awake covered in cold ice-water. The party was in a set of cells, with one Zuanshi Wei staring at an odd man trapped in a stasis pod. Nxiya was able to escape her cell and pushed some buttons on the pod before teleporting into Rosse’s cell. The man in the tube, Raiden Naoki, busted out of the tube, tore down the cell doors, and began to lead a rescue operation to get himself, Wei, and the gang out. It was here that the room began to get really hot as Rilo Kasai burst down the doors, guns blazing. He used an odd hammer to try healing Aether’s leyline poisoning. Raiden led the group to where all their stuff was stored, he and Rilo taking down a few enemies along the way while the casters had to deal with a lack of units.
The party got their stuff back, but as Raiden, Wei, and Rilo ran through a door, the alarm sounded, shutting the door with a metal blast door, separating them from the party. It is assumed they escaped. The rest of the party, now alone and fending for themselves, traveled around the prison. As they traversed the place, they found a set of keys that led to the prisoners all being freed, escalating to a full on prison riot. A few strange machines were found there, like a mechanical televisual device and odd telegrams and listening devices. After solving a few ciphers that were more difficult than intended by the GM (the GM messed up the encoding), the party was able to find the way out and escape. The game ended with the party escaping Rozmakhigrad, now stranded in the Pthoran wastes.
