Plot Synopsis

The party awakes, well rested, but still trapped within the lowest floor of the temple. Guts begins to search for a way out, first investigating the collapsed tunnel, then searching around the room for any differences, then finally searching over the golem that had been frozen in the center of the room. After a thorough investigation Guts manages to find a strange Agate ring on the frozen golem. Unsure of what the item does, hands it over to Maloghurst for further inspection. Malohugrst, during this time, had been consuming as much of Rico’s corpse as was physically possible- making sure to avoid eating actual chunks of rock, but not caring if a shard or two of the jinghua got consumed along with the raw flesh. Taking a break from whatever the fuck was going on there, Maloghurst inspects the ring to find out it is in fact a Tectionic Ring, able to cast the spell Land Morph once per day. With this new found information in mind, Guts attempts to shift the rocks out of the collapsed passageway- but is unable to fully clear a path to the exit. Maloghurst goes back to consuming raw dwarf meat.

Stumped on ideas, Guts decides to wait it out- and after around 15 minutes of waiting, Huangdi opens the door from the other side and ushers the group out of the dark, crystalline room. He leads the party up into the first floor of the temple and offers the party an extremely delicious home cooked meal, better than most of them had ever tasted before. After a little bit of small talk, Huangdi hands out the gold the party had earned (1000gp) and a mastercraft level Earth Dragon Scale shield that had seemingly been made by someone named Bai Long. The party finishes up their meal, with Huangdi offering anyone who wants one some free rations for the road, and they all set off. Upon crossing the river, Guts and Maloghurst spot the horse that Berlok rode to catch up with them and decide to steal it to make the journey back to Chongbai quicker. They leave the rest of the group’s protests in the dust, and make it back to Chongbai in the next two days.

Guts and Maloghurst wade through the hustle and bustle of Chongbai in order to get a number of things looked into/made/sold.
First, the pair looks into getting Guts a new arm from Lithicore. After talking with one of the receptionists there, Guts is able to get one of the slightly older models for a nice 600gp price and is able to dodge the useless 15gp warranty the receptionist tries to get him to buy. A smooth surgery of attaching the arm follows, and it works good as new.
Second, The pair head over to a local doctors office, Maloghurst hoping to cure whatever stomach ache that he had gained through consuming parts of Rico’s body. He gets inspected by a nurse, who doesn’t really seem to know anything about Maloghurst’s affliction- but tells him she will look into it, and to come back in a few days. Over those next few days, Maloghurst hears rumors and whispers of some incurable leyline-disease that the company of Zuanshi Steelworks seems to be covering up. And upon returning to the clinic, realizes that the doctor that had seen him before had disappeared. He waits longer than the first time, to the point that it almost seems intentional- before being seen by a different doctor and sent away with no new knowledge on how to treat this infection.
Afterwards, Guts goes to a local blacksmith to obtain a Dragonslayer Sword, which is just an oversized claymore. The two go to multiple other shops to sell the few belongings they had both obtained on their journey.
Finally they both find themselves in an underground fighting ring in order to earn a bit of extra cash before the festival. Guts and Maloghurst win each of their own respective duels, earning a decent bit of coin.
