Laetita ad Lojem; Episode 1: The Adventure Begins (Rougtero, Lojem, Jaern)
Plot Synopsis
The game started with the party meeting outside the door of a home in Rougtero. The home belonged to a kinematics professor. This professor happens to have a fascination with large-scale disasters and plots and has noticed a trend recently. For the past few years, an area on Jaern will start having a series of seemingly disconnected yet connected problems. Given the fact that within the past month, Lojem has experienced a series of disasters affecting different towns, this professor theorizes that these issues are all connected in some way, and that Lojem is next in the natural order of large disasters that seem to pervade across Jaern. He gave the party a list of places to go to and problems to solve, gave them 300 gold up front, with promises to pay more later, gave them a pat on the back, and told them to go.
The party took the Skyrunner to Port Haven first, deciding to take on the recent Undying Plague. As they landed, Ves pointed out a strange stone building that Samuel looked inside of with his Psionic abilities. The city was under a lockdown and quarantine, with Ves convincing the local town guard that they did not plan on leaving until they found a cure for the disease.
After this, Nimbus and Ves went to ask medical professionals some questions about what’s been going on, while attempting to find a running theme in the set of patient 0’s. They have yet to identify a uniting cause, but they seem to have gotten most of the rest of town sick through accidentally contaminating a nearby water supply.
