Substitute Soul Reaper Program
Plot Synopsis
Adventurers were chosen to participate in the Extra-Dimensional Substitute Soul Reaper Program as part of an effort to find new, promising, candidates to wield Zanapakuto. Participants were given a brief tour of the Soul Society and its outskirts, delving momentarily into the crushing poverty and suffering that was the afterlife here, before being dumped into a pit with a collection of Asauchi spirits. Each adventurer was responsible for slaying one of the spirits out of the dozens available and upon doing so, was granted the weaponized form of the spirit and tasked with developing with the weapon enough to learn and grant a proper name. After emerging from the pit, new weapons in tow, they were confronted by an invasion of Menos Grande lead by a larger specimen who summoned additional allies and devoured any left to avoid dying, until Badigadi made a late arrival and put down the beasts to save the party from catastrophe - claiming his own Asuachi spirit and weapon after the fact. The program is regarded as a success, this time, and all characters were advised to return once they were ready for their first release.
