The characters were hired in a city controlled by a cult with a hive mind. Match decided to attempt to sell the organs of some people to a body shop. this did not go over well with the cult and he is now a wanted fugitive in the city. but because of his innate ability to disguise himself he got out withbout too many issues and because the city wasn't the employer he didn't have any more issues on the mission. Then they actually got to the job listing and decided going to the land of 10,000 craters to negotiate an alliance or other relations with the wizards there would be the best course of action. As they sailed there they decided to go fishing and caught the son of the king of Atlantis, (the city is populated by merfolk). they almost decided to kill him and take his identity but decided against it. To begin negotiations of alliances they went to the council's tower and as they did they encountered a powerful barrier(10 d6 against pwr) that was keeping them from entering a meeting. But hooded man did not notice and walked right through disrupting the meeting and causing them to wrap up immediately and see the party. they negotiated terms to form an alliance based off of sharing high level magic with each other and recovering some artifacts for them. they got to keep some of the weaker artifacts as well. As part of the negotiations Hooded Man and Fwip decided to establish their own tower in the land of 10000 craters. this cut into the pay they would receive from the council but improve general relations. In the end they established very good terms with the land of 10000 craters pushing the balance of the war on the plane heavily in the direction of the employer, probably saving at least several million silver from paying off mages to join their side.
