We've lost contact with a new oil drilling outpost we setup. Please investigate.
Plot Synopsis
A strange new oil outpost was recently opened up, and shortly after contact was lost.
As a technology based world, this was rather concerning, and so professional investigators were hired to look into the matter.
And so our adventurers came into town one fine day, bothered the locals, caused disorder, and were quickly sent on their way.
Along the road they noted rather odd things, such as mechanical cows, but took little note beyond satisfying their curiosities (Robot cows make oil!).
As such, they arrived at the drill site in not too long a time, finding it completely deserted of life but for a few robots.
A conspicuous lack of any organic life was found, though several souls lingered in the area; they were uncommunicative, but through other means they detected the presence of an undead monstrosity in the facility.
Apparently, it was in the oil storage area, so being cautious folk they investigated several samples of the oil first... by drinking it. x_x.
After doing so, it seemed to try to corrode the imbiber (Scorpio's) mental state, whispering new directions and feelings, though he was able to suppress them.
Annoyed, they set forth and located the entry to the oil repository, opened it from the top, and looked down to see a horror built of bone and necromancy.
Adventures, being the way they are (or just Scorpio. Cause he's dum like that.) jumped into the mind-altering substance, got beat up, and made a hasty retreat, purifying himself only through the grace of T'or.
As the creature tried to climb out after him, they considered their options, and for some reason, decided to "capture" it by throwing it in Scorpio's field of war.
A few more adventures were had, as Eve explored the depth of the oil deposit, whereupon she noted some strange things about the world's foundations.
Anna took that and explored further, beyond the space of existence, through void into other bubble planes. Most curious.
Although they were interested, they also knew that the oil they found was likely to destroy the plane if unchecked, so they instead quickly gathered their pay and left.
Noteworthy Postgame Events
