Adventurers needed to help repair a powerful artifact.
The adventuring party was sent into a pocket dimension within the Aquamariner artifact, where they were to investigate the cause of a magical rist that had formed on the artifact. Inside, they encountered a race or merpeople currently torn by war. They went on to retrieve a powerful weapon (a sword) that had opened the rift from the other side, which they gave to the king so that he may study it and use it to close the rift from our side.
