TSB;EoA: Veins of Primordial Blight [Session 7] (Isle of Mordrik; ???)

Plot Synopsis

The party after returning from the elemental plane of fire is busy recuperating when they get a message from the party in the Dreaming, requesting urgent help. They use the beetle to teleport, arriving in a strange library with a serpentine creature wrapping around the outer edge of the circular pillar they were inside. The eyes that bulge from the serpentine being’s body move to stare at the newcomers- and Wisteria and Ji are rendered unconscious by a mental barrage. Ignis and Samson immediately dip out in the first round of combat, taking their unconscious party members with them.

Meanwhile Wisteria and Ji find themselves in past memories- as if they were experiencing them for the first time. Ji finds herself in the first meeting with Noboru fighting a few rounds in combat with him before finding herself spiraling above his corpse. Alone. Without any party members to help. She wakes up out of the memory and storms off without saying anything, throwing the lantern that had appeared in her hands away. Ignis picks up the lantern to use for a later time. Wisteria finds herself in the memory of when her childhood friend committed suicide, being dragged away after she called for help, spiraling in the guilt that she could have done something if they haddn’t dragged her away. She wakes up, the feeling still fresh and raw in her chest, a bonsai tree appearing in her hands. After calming down Wisteria and planting the bonsai on the back of Anemone, the rest of the party started the search for Ji.

It takes about half an hour, but after talking everything out the party is ready to continue. Ignis throws the communication beetle into the portal-bag he carries around so they wouldn’t have to experience any of the crap from the other parties again. They continue to Tal, and discuss where to go. He relays that the two things that the party needs to obtain are ‘A Window of a Charlatan’ and ‘A Shadow of a Frozen Hope’. They decide to head to the elemental plane of air to search for the required object first. They find a crafter in town and are able to get customized paragliders to be able to traverse throughout the elemental plane of air.

As the party is right about to depart for the Elemental Plane of Air when Rik, Galaxy-Eye, Ugyaku, and Cyrus appear out of the bag. A confrontation occurs over the two objects obtained after the relived-memories. And eventually, after some light pvp, the items are returned. A cutting of the Bonsai tree remains on Anemone, and both objects are able to be destroyed to complete the boss fight.
