Real Folk Blues - Session 1 (Cho Strand, Raikougan, Cahyali)

Plot Synopsis

The party, for their own reasons, arrive on the Nueva Shinkansen: a steam train that runs through the Cho Strand. After meeting the old gunslinger Clint, the party dispatches a gang of bandits before the train comes to a stop as the people that run the train need to take stock of what the bandits had taken. The party explores the Town With No Name, taking a quick break in the tavern and learning about El Ao Diablo and the Dust Riders, both of which being general nuisances to the Town. They are hired to deal with the issue if either of them arise.

Not soon after, the party hears the sounds of screams as blue flames envelope the town. They rush over and meet up with Ren, who is El Ao Diablo, dispatching a small group of Dust Riders, but not before almost burning down the house that they are in. Ren removes the flames and everyone goes to the mayor's office to pay for property damage, after which everyone takes part in a duel with Clint and his strange magic coin.

The day wanes into night, the party gambles, and eventually turns in for the night, but not before a starborn woman rolls into town and walks into the train, killing Clint with strange magic. After the local Isisite realizes that nothing can be done for him, the bodies are cremated and the party goes in to sleep. They then wake up in a demiplane known as The Archive, where a young person is editing a book. After a brief conversation with them, the person says that they have "changed some things" and "hope this time will go better."

The party then wakes up and finds themselves back at the beginning of the day, time having reset.
