TSB;EoA: Veins of Primordial Blight [Session 4] (Isle of Mordrik; ???)

Plot Synopsis

The groups appear on a strange vessel traversing the black seas around Mordrik after an unknown number of days they spent separated. The ship belongs to Rosy, a dimension-hopping Pirate that one of the groups had befriended in their time apart. Upon landing on the island they are met by one of the residents- and with translation help of Wyren and Tal, are brought to the leader of the town, Kea.

Kea explains the situation- and what they know so far. They explain that they will continue to research the topic for more information while the parties split up and gather the necessary resources. Wisteria, Ji, Ignis, Wyvern, and Feare split off to find a machine that should be able to stabilize their bodies so that the effects of the Planar Sea are mitigated. Tal tells them of a machine in the north who he has been working with Nis to gather the materials for.

The group sets off after meeting up with Nis, using a car Wyren has to traverse the distance in a matter of hours. The hours of monotonous plains pass with a bit of small-talk between the party, and eventually they make it to the swamp that holds the machine. Another hour passes of the party weaving through the mangrove-like swamp before they find the abandoned structure that Nis says the machine resides on. Though before they continue into the structure- Nis warns to not shoot what is in the cage. Though refuses to elaborate on exactly what she means.

It isn’t long before the party finds the months-old massacre that happened on the structure, and the malnourished form of someone who looks… weirdly like Wisteria within the cage. Through investigation and talking with the creature, which they named Willow, they were able to figure out she was some type of bioweapon experiment of Tsorren’s. After calming her down, Wyren and Wisteria busy themselves with opening up the cage and trying to undo some of the mutations that Tsorren had done to her. They are only partially successful in their endeavors, though Willow is grateful for any progress that they are able to make.

During this time Ignis and Feare look into fixing up the machine. The others helped after Willow had been calmed down and let out of the cage. The group continues to search for the needed materials, which just ended up being Void-cranberries and some of the swamp water (along with the crystal that Tal had given them at the beginning). Turning on the machine removed any negative effects the planar sea had caused to those in the vicinity. The party then loads the machine onto the boat and heads back to the town of Brineel.
