MCAS III - Merchant of War 1 (Raikougan, Cahyali)

Plot Synopsis

The group of adventurers quickly sailed through the night to arrive at Chongbai the following day. Once in the capital, they went on a shopping montage, and secured a means to ask Cho Yinhui’s corpse some questions. The party found out that the conspirators can receive their new orders at the Chongbai Opera, and that Sunflight Tsorren is working on a new project at the hospital. They additionally found out that “Li Tieguai” is female and supposed to replace Arashi Hachiman as Shogun of the Raikougan Archipelago. They also discovered that Kakusei, Oswald’s long lost brother, was being trained by Yinhui to take his place in the conspiracy.

Shortly after, they stopped by the Commission of Trade, where Ignita memlocked the interior, as well as Jin Xinyi himself. They informed Xinyi that The Faceless One may be hunting him, and gave him a pouch of cinnamon as a means of last second defense. They also gave copies of documents they had found, and Xinyi sent a few Jade Lens agents to the Chongbai Opera to investigate. He told the party that he planned to meet with The Kinland Order’s Tapatahi Tawhiri and Liu Wuxiang the next day, and offer the information they found.

The party then traveled to Juuken, arriving before the storm engulfs the entirety of the archipelago. They docked at an abandoned shore and traveled on foot to reach Kayakusei, where they began investigating the hospital. Reese was able to secure a job as a doctor at the hospital, while others searched for rumors and gossip. They found out that the RCA had taken a wing of the hospital to turn into a military ward for wounded soldiers, and that patients have been “misplaced” and gone missing recently. The nurses, doctors, and janitors of the hospital have also heard strange noises coming from the basement below, which the RCA has sealed off from the rest of the hospital and left one means of access via the military ward. They also found out that a shipment is scheduled to come in the next day to deliver something to the military ward, and that the hospital grounds will be on a soft lockdown when that occurs. Additionally, a few days ago, a group of RCA guards were sent in as a “clean-up” crew and took disfigured bodies out late at night to burn. There were rumors that the culprit was anthrax.

Bailin Howard and Ignita investigated the town itself, and specifically The Honorable Supremacy, currently anchored to the walls of the capital. They found out that Admiral Nan Fengge was currently commanding the RCA from the airship above. The party then came up with a plan to infiltrate the military ward the next day and fight their way if necessary down to the basement and stop Sunflight Tsorren, as well as Alejandro de Zinera.
